Add Mojeek to Edge

  1. Copy-and-paste edge://settings/searchEngines into the address bar, and hit the Enter / Return key on your keyboard.

  2. If Mojeek is not in the list, click Add. Otherwise go here.

  3. Enter:

    • Search engine: Mojeek
    • Keyword: m
    • URL with %s in place of query:
      https://www.mojeek.com/search?q=%s

  4. Click Add.

Make default

  1. Copy-and-paste edge://settings/searchEngines into the address bar, and hit the Enter / Return key on your keyboard.

  2. Select Mojeek in the Search engine used in the address bar dropdown

  3. Select Make default.

  4. You should now be able to search directly from the address bar of your browser.

We have written before about walled gardens that prevent alternative search engines from having wider usage; it is likely that your Edge browser will prompt you to switch your search engine every now and again, prompting you to make a decision that further benefits Microsoft. For this reason we would recommend that you use a different browser such as Firefox.
